The U.S. dollar's strength may give American students the chance to earn their MBA in the UK for a fraction of the price due to rising inflation.
Chris Healy, director of marketing and recruitment for the MBA program at Alliance Manchester Business School, agrees. His point of view is supported by data: in a recent survey of more than 3,000 business school students from over 20 nations, conducted by the UK-based consultant CarringtonCrisp, 40% chose the UK over the United States (35%), the European Union (26%), Canada, and India (both 19%).
January Intake
The secondary intake occurs in January. Although there are fewer courses offered in the January intake than in the September intake, this intake provides a chance for students who were not admitted to the main intake. This gives students more time to work on their applications. Applications are due between June and September, depending on the course and university.
May Intake
Information on May university admissions is scarce. You may, however, enrol in a few courses for the May intake. Universities including Coventry University, Northumbria University, Southampton Solent University, University of Bedfordshire, and others are accepting applications from international students for their May intake courses.
September Intake
The main intake in the UK occurs in September. In the UK, it's commonly referred to as "autumn intake." Most UK universities offer each subject for the September intake. February to May of that academic year will be the application deadlines for the September intake. But depending on the universities and the course, it will always be different. For further information, students should get in touch with their respective universities. If your objective is to study for an undergraduate or graduate degree in the UK, you must first create an action plan. Here is a timeline for applying so you can schedule what to do and when.
Step 1: Start Right Away!
If you begin early, you should have a short list of 5–10 universities by August. Visit university websites and make note of the prerequisites, application dates, etc.
By September, you should be aware of your options for bank loans and scholarships to assist pay for your education.
To get started, download admissions brochures from the institution's websites. The majority of brochures are released over a year in advance.
Make some exploratory inquiries about other housing options.
Step 2: Achieve exam success from January to February 2023

Step 2: Achieve exam success from January to February 2023
- Depending on the course and university, get ready for compulsory standardized tests like the GMAT, GRE, SAT, TOEFL, or IELTS.
- Enrol in the GMAT or GRE by June or July, or three months before the test date.
- At least one month before the test date, register for the TOEFL/IELTS.
- Plan to take the necessary tests in September, and allow extra time in case you need to repeat the exam.
- Shortlist a few schools, then be prepared to submit an application. Make a list of your qualities and a self-evaluation of what makes you stand out from other applicants by carefully considering what makes you unique.
- Contact your professors and your immediate management to request the 2-3 reference letters that are required. Before the deadline for applications, at least a month in advance.
- Create an outline for your essays and SOP. Give yourself a month to organise these documents correctly.
- Use before the cutoff date! The application deadline will fall between the months of February and May for the UK's September intake in 2021.
